Welcome To Giusti’s Place
Whether you are an old friend or first time visitor, we take great pride in welcoming you to our web site, which is designed to reflect who we are and what you’ll find when you visit us by car or boat.
Giusti’s, for four generations has served family style lunches and dinners in the California Delta’s oldest bar and restaurant.
Out simple formula for success has never changed - serving reasonably priced food and drink in an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie.
The noted author, the late Earl Stanley Grader, creator of Perry Mason and author of three Delta books, described that formula well when he wrote in 1965:

“It is impossible to adequately describe the warmth of the place, the impression of hospitality, the cool crispness of the salads or the flavor of the food (his favorite meal was sourdough French bread and red wine). Many commercial resorts extend service on a basis of “Hello, sucker! Come on in and be fleeced.” But up at Giusti’s, there is a warm friendliness, a genuine desire to accommodate. That atmosphere emanates from people who are happy with their lot in life and want you to be happy too.”

Mr. Gardner passed away in 1970. Shortly after his death, Sacramento Union Columnist Tom Hornton wrote a column about “Uncle Erle” and the special friendship he had with the Delta and Giusti’s. We have included Tom Hornton’s column on our web site because it captures a special part of the history, tradition and legacy that makes Giusti’s what it is today.
In March 2009, we were honored by a visit from Guy Fieri of the Food Network’s Dinners, Drive-inns and Drives program. We had a great time with Guy. We have enjoyed hearing from old friends and new friends all over the country and beyond since our Giusti’s feature has been aired, and continues to be aired, on Guy’s Food Network program. Thanks again Guy!
Have fun visiting our web site. All of us at Giusti’s look forward to seeing you soon.
Ciao! Mark
